ANDREW GEORGE JOACHIM, 74, of Lake Placid, N.Y., died Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at Adirondack Medical Center of Saranac Lake, N.Y. Mr. Joachim was born Jan. 8, 1939, in Guatemala. He was the son of the late Heinrich and the late Ilonka (Breitenbach) Joachim. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 19, with an American Legion Prayer Service at 7:45 p.m. at M. B. Clark, Inc. Funeral Home, 2310 Saranac Ave, Lake Placid, N.Y. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, at Keene Valley Congregational Church, Keene Valley, N.Y. with Rev. Milton Dudley officiating. Burial will follow in North Elba Cemetery, Lake Placid, N.Y. A full obituary will be published at a later date.
