PLATTSBURGH — The Town of Plattsburgh is holding the Adirondack Coast Walk/Bike Symposium on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at Clinton Community College.
The free event is open to anyone interested in learning more about the concept and value of Complete Streets. Participants are expected to include Velo Quebec, the New York Bicycling Coalition, Chazen Planning, Bob Light from the SUNY Plattsburgh Police and local representatives.
Discussions will include how planning for pedestrians and bicycling improvements for public roads and private developments can increase tourism, assist public health and wellness, enhance economic vitality and make roadways safer for all users regardless of age, mobility or mode of transportation.
The Adirondack Cycling Team is assisting the town in sponsoring the event. Refreshments will be offered.
The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
