Peru adult volleyball underway Oct. 7

PERU —Peru adult coed volleyball will begin on Oct. 7 at the Peru Primary School gymnasium.

Games will take place Mondays and Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and players must be 19 years old or older to play. Cost is $1 per player each day.

ADK holding hike up Noonmark

PLATTSBURGH — The public is invited to join the Algonquin Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club for a hike up Noonmark from Round Pound in the Keene Valley Oct. 10.

Saranac Booster Club Fall Classic announces winners

PLATTSBURGH — The 7th Annual Saranac Booster Club Fall Classic was held on Sept. 22 at the Barracks Golf Course.

Kevin Hunt, Frank Irwin, LaFleur and Stone captured first place. Tom Maggy, Hank Wilson, Rick Fournia and Kevin Fournia were the runner ups.

Joe Graziane, John Drollette, Jim Lockwood and Dan Bushey came in third.

John Niles won the closest to the line and the men’s longest drive. Lori Newell had the women’s longest drive.

Joe Graziane and Megan Leary had the shot closest to the pin.

Monster Dash 5K set for Oct. 20

MORRISONVILLE — The Monster Dash 5K Run/Walk & Goblin Gallop Kids Run will take place Oct. 20 at the Medicine Horse Farm at noon.

Registration for the event is $15 for adults and $10 for children under 12.

All runners will receive ‘lives’ in the form of a belt and flags.

‘Zombies’ will out during the run and their job is to chase and capture participant’s flags. Avoid the ‘Zombies’ to save your lives.

Awards will be given to runners in first, second and third for men and women.

Participants are encouraged to wear a costume. The race is family friendly, so refrain from overly scary or gory costumes.
