CROWN POINT — A Ticonderoga man was injured Dec. 23 in a one-car accident allegedly involving a drunk driver.
Michael J. Thompson, 22, of Putnam Station was driving on Bradford Hill Road in the Town of Crown Point shortly before 5:52 a.m. when he allegedly lost control of the vehicle, which left the roadway via the east shoulder, Lewis-based State Police said. The car struck a tree, spun around and continued down a steep earth embankment, striking another tree, police said.
Passenger Eain Tierney, 22, of Ticonderoga was taken to Inter-Lakes Health in Ticonderoga and transferred to Fletcher Allen Heath Care in Burlington, police said.
Thompson was charged with first offense driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. He was released to a third party.
The police report did not say if any tickets were issued.
SARANAC — At least one person was injured in an accident Dec. 22.
Shortly before 7:40 p.m., Mary Faye Hendrick, 56, of Paul Smiths was driving westbound on State Route 3 in the Town of Saranac when her vehicle began to slide on the snow-covered road, Plattsburgh-based State Police said.
Hendrick allegedly overcorrected and her car left the road via the north shoulder striking a tree.
Hendrick was ticketed for failure to reduce speed for special hazards, police said.
Information regarding Hendrick’s injuries was not available.
PLATTSBURGH — At least one person was injured in a Dec. 20 two-car accident.
Shortly before 5 p.m., a car driven by Valerie A. Rivera, 48, of Chazy was stopped facing east on State Route 3 near Centre Drive in the Town of Plattsburgh when a car driving eastbound on the same road operated by Mason Nowell Fortin, 17, of Morrisonville allegedly ran into Rivera’s vehicle, Plattsburgh-based State Police said.
No further information was available.
