PLATTSBURGH — Eight bar or retail-store employees were arrested Sunday after they each allegedly sold alcohol to an underage person in a State Police sting.
All were charged with prohibited sale of alcohol to a person younger than 21, a misdemeanor under the Alcohol Beverage Control Law.
State Police said they sent an underage volunteer to each business who then tried to buy alcohol.
Numerous establishments and retail stores were checked throughout Clinton County as part of the county’s underage-drinking initiative, police said.
Reached by the Press-Republican, managers at five of the establishments declined to comment on the arrests. Managers at the Weathercock in Chazy, Armond’s Bar in Rouses Point and Northern Cakes in Chazy could not be reached.
The following employees were charged:
Kelly J. Blondo, 46, of Mooers, who works at the Cattle Barn Pub & Grill on State Route 9 in Chazy; Kasey E. Corrigan, 24, of Plattsburgh, who works at the Weathercock in Chazy; Kami L. Hicks, 38, of Champlain, employed at the Last Resort on Montgomery Street in Rouses Point; Jennifer M. Howe, 30, employed at Route 11 Mobil on State Route 11 in Champlain; Dustin M.
