Saranac was in front almost the whole way against Salmon River, gave up the lead in the top of the seventh and then won it 6-5 after a miscue in the bottom half.
Nate Stanton took the mound in the fifth inning and earned the nonleague win. Andrew Tedford had two hits and the game-winning run, and Caleb Keysor also had two hits.
After Salmon River scored two in the top of the first, Saranac pulled ahead with three runs in the bottom of the inning and added two more in the fourth.
The Shamrocks tied it up with a two-run double by Bert Gray and an RBI single by Justin Bigness. With one out in the bottom of the seventh, Tedford singled, stole second and advanced to third when Austin Medeiros reached on an error. Then the Salmon River catcher tried to pick off Tedford at third, and when the throw bounced into left field, Tedford scored.
Keysor pitched the first four innings for Saranac, striking out seven. Jeremy Barber hit a double.
Gray went the distance in the loss.
