Rian E. Jock of Altona has received two Binghamton University Foundation Awards at Binghamton University. They are a Decker Foundation Award for Academic Excellence, presented to a graduating senior in recognition of academic excellence in upper division nursing coursework, and Decker Foundation Award for Clinical Experience, in recognition of excellence in clinical practice.
Shane Avery of Brushton has been named to the Dean’s List at SUNY Buffalo, majoring in criminal justice.
Nitalya Wolkowicz of Plattsburgh has been named to the spring Dean’s List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. She majors in marine biology.
Jakob Hebert and Eva Zalis, both of Plattsburgh, have earned placement on the Dean’s List at Siena College, Loudonville. Hebert is a biochemistry major, and Zalis is a biology major.
Dustin Gratto of Morrisonville, son of James Gratto and Karla Gratto, graduated from Hartwick College, Oneonta, with a major in economics and mathematics.
Lauren Malone of Plattsburgh, a junior majoring in global supply chain management, was named to the Dean’s List at Clarkson University, Potsdam.
In April, Peter B. Betrus of Plattsburgh was inducted into the Orange Key Honor Society at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva. The Orange Key Society recognizes promising sophomores who have been campus leaders in their very first year at the college. Majoring in bio-chemistry, he was also named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester. Also, Alexandra M. Betrus of Plattsburgh earned academic high honors for the spring semester at Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, N.H. She is a senior at Exeter who has been named as a proctor for her dorm, Amen Hall, and is a captain-elect for the girls’ varsity ice hockey team for the coming school year. Both students are the children of Steven Betrus and Colleen Brogowski-Betrus.
