PLATTSBURGH — Kayla Rabideau scored the only goal of the game Wednesday night as Northern Adirondack recorded a victory over Ticonderoga in the Section VII Class C girls' soccer semifinal held at Plattsburgh High School.

The Bobcats will return to PHS next Wednesday when they take on top-seeded Seton Catholic in the finals.

Rabideau's goal came off a great individual effort with 31:34 gone in the first half.

"She got a loose ball about 40 yards out and beat a couple of defenders," said Northern Adirondack coach Jared Peryea. "It was a semi-breakaway and a nice finish."

The Bobcats ended up with an 8-2 advantage in shots, and Jesslin Golovach made one save for the shutout. Jocelyn Barber stopped five shots for the Sentinels, who got a strong game from midfielder Samantha Diehl.

"We've been fighting illness and injuries during the week, and I give credit to the girls for coming through," said Peryea. "They got the job done as a group, even though it wasn't pretty.

"We live, however, for another day."
