SCHROON — An Albany man was arrested in the Town of Schroon on felony charges Dec. 30.
According to Plattsburgh-based State Police, John Deely, 40, had recently gotten out of a relationship with a girlfriend.
Deely’s ex-girlfriend had changed the locks on the doors to the residence they shared on Bohrmann Drive in the Town of Schroon. Deely was removed from the residence earlier that day, Dec. 30, and advised by police not to return, police said.
When Deely’s ex-girlfriend came home with her uncle after going out, they found Deely allegedly drunk and passed out on the couch, police said.
Deely’s girlfriend called police again at 8:33 p.m.
When Deely was arrested at 9:48 p.m., troopers found a bottle of hydrocodone pills on him that were prescribed to someone else, police said.
Deely was charged with second-degree burglary of a dwelling, a felony; fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony; and second degree criminal trespass, a misdemeanor.
Deely was arraigned in the Town of Schroon Court and remanded to the Essex County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash or $40,000 bond. Deely’s court information was not available Saturday.
BEEKMANTOWN — Three people were arrested in connection with an alleged grand larceny.
Shaina S. Faubert’s mother gave she and her boyfriend, Colby D. Barton, 19, of Morrisonville permission to stay in her mother’s home on Golden Road in Morrisonville since her mother is living in a nursing home, Plattsburgh-based State Police said.
Faubert’s mother noticed some items missing from her home on Trim Road and later found the items in the Golden Road house on Dec. 31, police said.
The 21-year-old’s mother called police at about 7:50 a.m. and they arrested Faubert at 11:29 a.m. at 6483 State Route 22 in the Town of Plattsburgh that day. Faubert was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny of property valued at more than $1,000.
