Morrisonville couple competes for all-expense-paid wedding from Star 92.9.

MORRISONVILLE — Kimmy Beaulac was visiting the Star 92.9 radio station website to select a song when she discovered the Love is Live On the Air contest.

The winner of the competition receives an all-expense-paid wedding on Valentine’s Day, and their vows will be aired live on the radio. The top prize includes the reception, the gown and tuxedo, the wedding band, the honeymoon, photography and other costs.

Beaulac mentioned the contest to her fiance, Zachary Bonsie, and within the hour they had entered.

“If we win, we’ll get married sooner (than planned),” Beaulac said.

The Morrisonville couple had a wedding date in mind for the summer of 2015, but they would be thrilled to move up the date.

Beaulac and Bonsie received an early morning phone call last Monday from the Colchester, Vt., station to congratulate them on making it into the contest.

They went to the station that day to have their photo taken and to meet the four other competing couples, all from Vermont.

Voting began midnight on Tuesday and ends at 11:59 tonight, so Beaulac and Bonsie spent the week getting the word out to family, friends and coworkers, telling them they can vote once every 24 hours on the Star 92.9 website.

Beaulac put the information on Facebook and Twitter, and Bonsie made a poster to hang up at Clinton Correctional Facility, where he works as a correction officer.

“My best friend has got the word out all over,” Beaulac said.

Family members from around the country, including a cousin of Bonsie’s in New Mexico, have voted for the couple to win.

“We told everybody,” Beaulac said.

The couple met in 2011 through a personal ad online.

“My friend, she put an ad on a site as a joke, and he answered it,” Beaulac said.
