Town of Plattsburgh sets public info meetings

PLATTSBURGH — The Town of Plattsburgh has scheduled a series of public informational meetings at various locations during the next few months.

Town Supervisor Bernie Bassett said it is a chance for officials to meet with the community, provide a town-wide update, exchange ideas, listen to problems indigenous to specific areas, offer solutions and explain any new federal, state or local rulings affecting residents.

“The sessions are intended to provide an interactive method of communicating on topics of mutual interest and concern,” he said in a press release.

“We look forward to spending this time with residents and urge (them) to set aside time to attend.”

The first meetings take place Monday — 7 p.m. at the Wallace Hill Recreation Park building and 7:45 p.m. at the Cumberland Head Fire Station.

Another pair of sessions are slated for Monday, May 13 — 7 p.m. at the South Plattsburgh Recreational Park building and then, at 7:45 p.m., at the Cliff Haven Recreational Park building.

On Monday, June 10, a 7 p.m. session will take place at the Treadwell Mills Recreational Park building, with a second one at 7:45 p.m. at the Cadyville Recreational Park building.

The final meeting is set for 7 p.m. Monday, June 24, at Plattsburgh Town Hall.
