ACCIDENTS

PERU — A swift-moving storm Friday evening contributed to an automobile accident, State Police said.

Brian S. Purcell, 45, of Peru was driving south on Military Turnpike extension at 7:35 p.m. High winds during the storm caused a tree branch to fall into the road, and Purcell was unable to avoid it, State Police said. 

No further information regarding the accident was available.

ARRESTS

ROUSES POINT — A man was arrested for failure to appear in family court, according to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office.

Clifford Nulph, 37, of Rouses Point was arrested at 1 p.m. Friday on a warrant issued by the Clinton County Family Court, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Nulph allegedly failed to appear for a previous court date. Nulph was processed and arraigned in Family Court, and sent to Clinton County Jail without bail, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
