Halloween benefit

PLATTSBURGH — The Halloween Festival held Oct. 27 at Plattsburgh Housing Outlet collected $5,300 for the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Burlington for a lifetime total donation of $47,214.

A record 800 children and their families enjoyed the festivities of the day. Participants were asked to make a $1 donation to trick or treat in Plattsburgh Housing Outlet’s display homes, staffed and sponsored by area businesses and organizations. Many of the businesses got into the spirit by decorating the porch of their home and dressing in costume.
