North Bowl 3-Person Shootout on Sunday

PLATTSBURGH — The North Bowl 3-Person Shootout will be held Sunday. Teams are asked to arrive for check-in and lane drawings by 11:30 a.m.

Optional team jackpots and individual brackets will also be available. The event is being co-sponsored by Budweiser and North Bowl Lanes. Any team captains who need a line-up order changed or a problem with any average, call Bob or John Munson, at North Bowl Lanes, at 561-1690.

Bardelick gets hole-in-one at The Barracks

PLATTSBURGH — Dennis Bardelick recorded the third hole-in-one of his golfing career when he used a 7-iron to ace the par-three, 140-yard seventh hole at The Barracks Len Skillan witnessed the shot.

Summer leagues forming at North Bowl Lanes

PLATTSBURGH — The following summer leagues are available at North Bowl Lanes: Monday Night Scratch (3 person); Tuesday Night Handicap (any combination of four bowlers); Wednesday Seniors (any combination of four bowlers, ages 50 and over); Wednesday Night Junior/Adult (two junior bowlers, two adult bowlers per team); Thursday Night 9-Pin (any combination of four bowlers); and Friday and Saturday Nights Glow Bowling.

Individuals and teams are welcome. Bowlers can open bowl all summer Monday through Thursday for $1.50 per game. Call 561-1690 for more information or stop by at North Bowl Lanes.

Plattsbugh State women’s soccer team hosting clinic August 2

PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh State women’s soccer team is hosting a clinic for prospective student athletes at the Plattsburgh State Field House from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, August 2.

The clinic is meant for high school girls ranging from ages 15-18. The cost is $50, which will cover a day of instruction, lunch and a Plattsburgh State Soccer t-shirt.

Clinic participants will get the opportunity to be involved in a typical collegiate practice session before receiving lunch and going on a campus tour. There will also be a short presentation about requirements for admission at Plattsburgh State.

Walk about Town on April 24

PLATTSBURGH—The Algonquin Chapter of the ADK is inviting everyone for their Wednesday Walk about Town at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 24. You must meet at the steps of City Hall for a walk around a Plattsburgh neighborhood.

Pitch-Hit-Run and Baseball Skills Clinic scheduled for May 1

PLATTSBURGH — The Clinton County Youth Bureau, Town of Plattsburgh Recreation Department, SUNY Plattsburgh men’s baseball and women’s softball teams will conduct their annual baseball clinic and their annual Pitch-Hit-Run competition on Wednesday, May 1 at SUNY Plattsburgh’s Chip Cummings Field and Cardinal Park.

The free baseball skills clinic, presented by the SUNY Plattsburgh men’s baseball team, will take place at 5-6 p.m. at Chip Cummings Field.

A free softball skills clinic, presented by the SUNY Plattsburgh Women’s Softball team will also take place from 5-6 p.m. at SUNY Plattsburgh’s Cardinal Park.

The free Pitch-Hit-Run competition for boys and girls 7-14 years of age, will begin at 6 p.m.. All participants must submit a copy of their birth certificate when they register.
