Plattsburgh Little League All-Stars fall to Oneida

CORNING — The Plattsburgh Little League 11-12 All-Stars started out well in the New York State Section 2 Playoffs on Saturday.

Zachary Bieber and Elliott Hurwitz rapped run-scoring doubles in the first inning to give the local team a 3-0 lead over Oneida.

The rest of the game, however, belonged to Oneida, which scored two runs in the third inning to pull to within one and then tallied three times in the fifth to record a 5-3 victory.

The losing pitcher for Plattsburgh was Zach Marlow.

Plattsburgh is back in action at 1 p.m. today versus Horseheads.
