Adirondack foliage offers seasonal show

Every autumn, Mother Nature puts on a brilliant display of colors throughout the North Country, with leaves boasting bright yellows and vibrant reds and oranges.

Fall’s show also marks the end of summer, reminding us that the chill of winter is on its way. During its peak season, the rich foliage never fails to surprise and delight residents and visitors as they take in the scenery during hikes, drives and bike trips through the Adirondack mountains.

This year, instead of venturing into the mountains to capture the season’s beauty, Rob Fountain, Press-Republican photographer, decided to capture foliage in everyday places. He traveled through the Village of Rouses Point, Town of Chazy and into Plattsburgh in search of special spots we may miss on a daily basis.
