TACY - A funeral service for Arthur Tacy, 98, of Dannemora, who passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013, was held on Thursday at St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated by Rev. Bernie Menard, pastor and assisted by Deacon Edward L. Mazuchowski. The pall was placed on the casket by his sons, Dr. Robert Tacy and Michael Tacy. The crucifix was placed by his grandson, Chris Tacy. Readings were done by Chris Tacy and niece, Debbie Alphonso. The gifts were presented by Debbie Alphonso and daughter-in-law, Madeline Tacy. Pallbearers were New York State Correction Officers from Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora. An Honor Guard was also provided by members of the New York State Department of Corrections. Burial followed in the parish cemetery where Rev. Menard and Deacon Mazuchowski recited committal prayers. Military honors were provided by members of the United States Army and the VFW Post 20 in Plattsburgh. R.W. Walker Funeral Home, 69 Court Street, Plattsburgh was in charge of arrangements.
