Northeastern Clinton held a slim 15-13 lead at the half before pulling ahead even more in the second half.

The Red Raiders, though, made a big run and managed to pull ahead late in the second half by two before Dominic drained a 16-foot jumper to tie the game at 38 and send it into overtime.

“It was a game of runs,” Cougars coach Frank Dumas said. “They got a little lead then we got a little lead.

“Dominic had a nice night with the three ball and Hebert was outstanding on defense and rebounding. She was all over the court and a big stopper for us all evening long. They were a nice combination to have.”

Northeastern Clinton would have to play without Hebert in the overtime period as she fouled out before the end of regulation. Christina Paola, though, came in off the bench and scored four points in overtime.

Hebert added eight points for the Cougars, while Taylor Rabideau finished with six.

Sydney Thompson led the way for Massena with 14 points. Marissa Manley chipped in with 10 points. Samantha Villnave tallied nine points.

Northeastern Clinton will take on Franklin Academy today at noon.
