---- — KEENE VALLEY — Harold A. LeClair, 92, a resident of Keene Valley, N.Y., died Tuesday, April 17, 2013, at Horace Nye Home.

Mr. LeClair was born June 20, 1920, in Upper Jay, N.Y., to Exilda and William LeClair.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Thelma Brown; brother William LeClair Jr. and his wife of 63 years, Nona Lovett LeClair.

Survived by daughters, Elaine Walsh and husband James of North Branford, Conn., Janet Peterie and husband Jon of Denver, Colo.; grandchildren, Kevin Walsh and wife Kim, Jennifer Walsh and husband Jason Massai; great granddaughter Olivia Walsh; sister-in-law Hilda Senecal; and six nieces and nephews.

Proud Navy veteran of World War II serving on the USS Independence. He was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft from 1941 until his retirement in 1977, at age 57. He loved his life, his family, the sun, his many friends and neighbors and his hometown of Keene Valley. His garden was his pride and joy and sharing his vegetables made him very happy.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 21, with Rev. Milton Dudley at the Keene Valley Congregational Church. Burial will be held at a later date.
