Adirondack's Graham too much for Saints

SARANAC LAKE — Shelby Graham poured in a game-high 24 points to help Adirondack Community College roll past North Country Community College, 61-34, in women’s basketball Friday night.

Kara Tecl added 16 points and Jamie McLaughlin 14 for the visitors, who jumped out to a 28-17 halftime lead.

Emily Lapage was the lone Saint in double figures with 14 points. Shelby Gausby was next with seven.

“We did not come ready to play tonight — we looked like we just woke up from a nap,” said North Country coach Jerrad Dumont. “I’m not impressed with the effort of some of the girls tonight.

“However, I am impressed with Emily Lapage. She worked really hard on the inside and I think we could have went to her more. She finished the game with 14 points and 11 rebounds. She is getting better every day and I love her work ethic.”
