FELONY ARRESTS

MALONE — An inmate at Franklin County Jail was charged with possession of prison contraband Tuesday.

Jessica S. Perkins, 30, was found with an Adderall tablet that was hidden on her person, Malone-based State Police said.

She was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of dangerous prison contraband, a felony, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.

Perkins was arraigned in Malone Town Court before being return to jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.

Perkins will reappear in court at 9:30 a.m. Monday.

PERSONAL-INJURY ACCIDENTS

PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh woman was transported to the hospital with minor injuries after a car accident Friday.

Shortly before 3:07 p.m., Sabrina Shae Lakomy, 17, of Plattsburgh took her foot off the brake of her white Toyota Celica to back out of a parking space in the Route 3 Rite Aid parking lot when she struck Kathleen J. Thorne, 73, who was walking behind the vehicle, Plattsburgh City Police Officer Robert Annis said.

Lakomy said her speed was about 0.5 mph when the accident occurred, Annis said.

Surveillance footage from the drug store appears to confirm Lakomy’s statement, he said.

Thorne was transported by the Plattsburgh City Fire Department to CVPH Medical Center after she complained of hip pain, Annis said.

MALONE — A Malone man was injured in a three-car accident April 22.

Shortly before 9:41 a.m., Jenna E. Coronel, 28, of Malone was traveling eastbound on Route 11 in the Town of Malone when she failed to see a car driven by Michael F. Glenny, 30, of Malone, which was slowing to make a right turn into the Bailey Motor Company parking lot, Malone-based State Police said.

Coronel’s car struck the back of Glenny’s, which spun around into a third car, driven by Brent Michael Duval, 33, of Malone, police said.

Glenny was taken to Alice Hyde Medical Center after he complained of neck and back pain, police said.

Coronel was ticketed for following too closely.

FORT COVINGTON — Four Bombay residents were taken to the hospital after a one-car accident April 17.

Quinton M. Wilson, 17, was traveling westbound on County Route 4 in the Town of Fort Covington when he reached down to the center console of the vehicle to pick up a drink and exited the north shoulder of the roadway, striking a tree head-on, Malone-based State Police said.

Wilson was taken to Alice Hyde Medical Center for treatment of minor cuts and bruising, police said. Also taken to Alice Hyde were Jordan W. Oliveira, 15 ; Christian B. Oliveira, 17; Christian Duncan, 17; and Devlin M. Laughing, 16.

Everyone was released from Alice Hyde, except for Jordan Oliveira, who was taken to Fletcher Allen Medical Center for treatment of a broken pelvis and an injured leg, police said.

Wilson was ticketed for driving with a junior license with passengers younger than 21, a violation.

WESTVILLE — A Malone woman was injured in a two-car accident April 17.

Trevor L. Jeror, 23, of Constable told police that shortly before 6:52 a.m., he was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Route 122 and Route 37 in the Town of Westville when, due to the glare of the sun, he did not see a car driven by Sally A. Delorm, 62, of Malone driving north on Route 37, Malone-based State Police said.

Jeror attempted to cross Route 37 and his vehicle was struck by Delorm’s, police said.

Delorm was taken to Alice Hyde Medical Center after she complained of neck and knee pain, police said.

Jeror was cited for failure to yield to right of way and driving without a license.
