KANALY — A funeral service for Colleen A. Kanaly, 87, formerly of Dannemora and most recently of Lake Forest, who died peacefully Friday, March 1, 2013, at CVPH Medical Center, was held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 8, at Harkness Methodist Church. Pastor Edie Poland, officiated. The cross and family Bible was placed by her children, Michael Kanaly, Karen Lopez, Scott Kanaly, Mary Lou LaRocque-Megarr and Larry Kanaly. Great-grandchildren Robert, Sage, Ryan, Hannah, Caitlyn, Aiden, Landon, Karina and Jacqueline placed roses for admiration on her casket. Scripture readings were by Jude Kanaly, Melanie Lopez, Shannon D'Abruzzo. Allison Arnold read a poem. Music by George "Speedy" Arnold and Jay Lesage. Words of remembrance were by her grandchildren. Pallbearers were her grandchildren, Jude Kanaly, Sean Kanaly, Chad Lopez, Eric LaRacque, Jordan Kanaly and Zachary Kanaly. Honorary pallbearers were her grandchildren, Melanie Lopez, Shannon D'Abruzzo, Jill Demers, Elisa Megarr, and Megan Kanaly. Burial will be at a later date in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Dannemora. Arrangements are in care of the R.W. Walker Funeral Home, 69 Court St., Plattsburgh.
