He was then suspended until March 7 without pay.
A few days after his Feb. 5 arrest, Donah was indicted by a grand jury on first-degree attempted rape, first-degree sexual abuse, three counts of first-degree unlawful imprisonment, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, second-degree assault, two counts of third-degree assault and two counts of criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation.
Donah has been on paid leave since March 7.
“The only reason he can’t return to work right now is because of the pending felony and the orders of protection,” Barrett said.
“This (case) is going to be decided by a judge and a jury.”
