FELONY ARRESTS

PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh woman was arrested on felony assault and weapon possession charges Tuesday.

On Jan. 31, Carrie Gehrig, 21, allegedly engaged in an argument with her ex-boyfriend that resulted in her throwing a fork at his face, causing him to suffer a laceration to his left cheek, Plattsburgh City Police said.

The incident happened at Gehrig’s apartment on South Catherine Street, police said.

Her ex-boyfriend reported the incident to police, telling them he threw a fork at Gehrig.

Gehrig was arrested at 6:20 p.m. in a traffic stop, police said.

She was charged with second-degree assault with a dangerous instrument and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies.

Gehrig was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court and sent to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $2,500 and $5,000 bond.

She remained in County Jail Friday evening, according to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.

PERSONAL-INJURY ACCIDENTS

PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh woman was injured in a two-car accident Tuesday.

Brittany Bracale, 20, was driving south on Prospect Avenue in the City of Plattsburgh shortly before 11 a.m. when she came upon a vehicle that was stopped near Prospect’s intersection with Broad Street because the vehicle was out of gas, according to Plattsburgh City Police.

The driver of that vehicle waved Bracale on and she proceeded to the intersection but once she reached it and drove across it, the light had turned red, police said.

As her vehicle crossed the intersection, it was struck by a car driven by Barry Brault, 45, of West Chazy, police said.

Bracale was injured, police said, but CVPH Medical Center had no record of a patient with her name admitted recently.

She was ticketed for running a red light.

PLATTSBURGH — A Morrisonville woman was injured in a two-car accident Monday.

At about noon, Wyatt Davis, 21, of Deposit, N.Y., was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Broad Street and Draper Avenue in the City of Plattsburgh, when his foot slipped off the brake and onto the gas, causing his car to move forward and strike the vehicle of Cierra Blanchard, 19, according to Plattsburgh City Police.
