CHAZY — The Chazy Water District will be flushing hydrants from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 1, 2 and 3.
Residents may find reduced water pressure and discoloration of water during this time.
I-87 shoulder work planned in Plattsburgh
PLATTSBURGH — Next week, the State Department of Transportation will be working on the shoulders of the northbound and southbound lanes of I-87 from the Salmon River bridge/South Junction Road to the area of Exit 39/Moffit Road in the Town of Plattsburgh.
Work is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, April 1, and is expected to be completed by Friday, April 12. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in the work zone during work hours, and motorists should expect minor delays.
Willsboro GOPseeks candidates for elections
WILLSBORO — The Town of Willsboro Republican Committee will be interviewing candidates for the expiring terms of town supervisor, town clerk, Town Council (two seats), town highway superintendant and town justice.
So far, the committee has been notified about these candidates: Shaun Gillilland for supervisor, incumbents Charlie Lustig and Nancy Huestis for Town Council, incumbent Beverly Moran for town clerk, incumbent Peter Jacques for highway superintendent and incumbent Kenneth Coonrod for the justice position.

ELIZABETHTOWN — Petitions and information to run as a candidate for the Elizabethtown-Lewis Central School Board are available.
The board will be seeking to fill a three-year term currently held by Karin DeMuro that expires June 30. Deadline for petition submission is April 22.
