TROY, N.Y. — Kenneth James Mills, 81, a long-time resident of Plattsburgh, died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, in Troy, N.Y.

He was born in Highland Lake, N.Y., Jan. 2, 1928, the son of James G. and Sophia (Stellwagen) Mills.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Phyllis Parker Mills, in 2005.

He is survived by a daughter, Karen Mills Miner; two sons, Gregory S. Mills and G. Stuart Mills; four grandchildren, Jeff and Jason Miner and Jim and Chris Mills; two great-grandchildren, Brady Mills and Hayden Miner; and his sister, Geraldine Mills Russell.

A private service and life celebration is planned.
