WINTER HAVEN, Fla. — Mr. Thomas R. "Leo" Baughn, 76, of Winter Haven, Fla., passed away at his residence on Nov. 4, 2009, due to cancer. He was born July 1, 1933, in Plattsburgh, N.Y., son of the late Albert and Emma (Gebo) Baughn.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He retired after serving 24 years as an electrician with local 910 in New York. After retirement, he spent several years traveling in his motor home, volunteering in several places before settling in Winter Haven. He was a member of several RV clubs, including Thousand Island Voyageurs, where he served as president.
Mr. Baughn was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard, Robert and Roland; and his sister, Rena Ward.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Baughn of Winter Haven; son, Kent Baughn of Dover, N.H.; daughter, Brenda Anderson of Colorado Springs, Colo.; son, Todd Baughn (wife, Nancy) of Watervliet, N.Y.; and grandchildren, Maria and Daniel; daughter, Maureen Squires (husband, Shane) of Clifton Park, N.Y.; and grandchildren, Cassandra, Logan and Mia; brothers, Wesley Baughn (wife, Catherine) of Peru, N.Y., Albert Baughn of West Plattsburgh, N.Y., Alan Baughn (wife, Cathy) of Morrisonville, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at St. Augustine's Cemetery, Peru, N.Y.
