Thomas Corodimas

---- — PLATTSBURGH — Thomas Corodimas, 65, of Coral Springs, Fla., and formerly of Plattsburgh, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility. Tommy, as he was known to most, vowed to approach his illness as a Spartan Warrior would and he certainly lived up to that resolution. During his two year battle with brain cancer, he never wavered in his courage.

Among his greatest pursuits were good food, fishing, bowling and vintage cars. He also enjoyed dabbling in real estate, traveling and golfing.

Having acquired a master's degree in english education from Plattsburgh State, he taught for much of his life in the Miami-Dade School System.

He is survived by his wife, Lucy of Coral Springs, Fla.; his mother, Bernice Metcalf of Plattsburgh; two brothers, Peter Corodimas of Morrisonville and Kevin Corodimas and his wife Connie of Boynton Beach, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Donna Corodimas of Plattsburgh; two daughters, Cassandra Tran and her husband Vu of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Christina Boardman of Monroe, La.; his loving grandchildren, Zachary and Nicholas Tran, and Elena and Olivia Boardman; and numerous loving nieces and nephews whom he left behind. He was predeceased by his father, Nicholas Corodimas, in 1970.

The family would like to extend a thank you to Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility and Hospice of the North Country.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date in the summer. Arrangements are in care of the R.W. Walker Funeral Home, 69 Court Street, Plattsburgh.
