WEST CHAZY — Glenn S. Gratton, 41, of West Chazy, N.Y., died unexpectedly, Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, at his home.
Born in Malone, N.Y., July 28, 1972, he is the son of Philip and Linda Casey Gratton. He graduated from Brushton-Moira High School in 1992.
Glenn has been a Corrections Officer for the New York State Department of Corrections since Sept. of 2006. He was working at the Dannemora Correction Facility at the time of his death.
He was a member of the Malone Automobile Club and the Plattsburgh four wheeler club. He enjoyed travel and photography and riding his four wheeler with his friends. His passion was cars, especially his Camaro Iroc Z28 and his 1998 S-10, he also loved old Oldsmobiles.
Survivors include his parents, Philip and Linda Gratton of North Bangor; his partner, Douglas Guerin of West Chazy; one brother, Timothy Gratton and his companion, Tina Lamica of North Bangor; one sister and brother-in-law, Crystal and Jeffry Wilcox of Brushton, N.Y.; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Hugh A. and Lillian Mae Marlow Casey, his paternal grandparents, Charles L. and Elizabeth Helen Spinner Gratton, four uncles, John Casey, and John, Ralph, and James Gratton and two cousins, Thomas and Leighton Casey.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone, N.Y. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Tuesday at St. Mary's Church in Brushton, N.Y., with the Rev. Chris Looby officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Donations may be made in his memory to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements are through the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Service, Inc. of Malone.
