BROOKLYN, CONN. — Michael Adrian LeClaire Sr., 51, of Day Street, Brooklyn, Conn., died unexpectedly Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam, Conn.
He was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y. on April 17, 1962, son of Joan Clendaniel of North Dakota and the late Adrian H. LeClaire.
Michael served in the U.S. Army from 1979 to 1987. He had been employed for over 25 years at Delta Rubber in Danielson, Conn. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his children, Michael A. LeClaire Jr. and Jesstina LeClaire, both of Brooklyn, Conn.; brothers and sisters, Kathy Tucker and Brenda LeClaire, both of Delaware, Terry Quist of North Dakota, John LeClaire, Daniel Konkoski, Harold LeClaire, Chris Gowette and Rick LeClaire, all of New York. He is also survived by five grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; his foster mother, Bertha Begore of New York; and many friends. Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at Tillinghast Funeral Home, 433 Main St., Danielson, Conn. Burial will be 2 p.m., on Saturday, Sept. 28, at Holy Angel's Cemetery in Altona, N.Y.
