KEESEVILLE — Laurea Craig, 89, of Front Street, Keeseville, died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.
She was born in Mooers Forks, Dec. 11, 1923, the daughter of Mose and Albina (Renaud) Rabideau.
Laurea grew up in Mooers Forks and attended school in the Northern Tier. She worked at the slipper factory following high school and later moved to Albany. Laurea married Thomas J. Craig on Aug. 24, 1950, in Bel Air, Md. He died July 7, 1981. She enjoyed reading, caring for her plants plants, and traveling.
Surviviors include her brother-in-law, Robert LeClair of Keeseville; sister-in-law, Marilyn Rabideau of Mooers Forks; and many neices, nephews; great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents; brother, Morris Rabideau; sisters, Antoinette Caviston, and Germaine LeClair; and five half brothers and half sisters, Clara, Homer, Ernest, and Francis Rabideau, and Lillian Pelkey.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 4, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Keeseville with Monsignor Leeward J. Poissant, parish Pastor, celebrating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands, N.Y.
