---- — LAKE PLACID — Gladys L. Hough, 94, passed away Jan. 31, 2013, at Adirondack Medical Center-Uihlein in Lake Placid, where she had been a resident since Dec. 2008. She was born Sept. 18, 1918, the daughter of William and Nora (O'Neil) Hough and spent her youth in Franklin Falls.

She is survived by two nieces, Karen and Elizabeth Kenny; two nephews, Kenneth and Paul Kenny, all of the Syracuse area; and a dear friend, Sanford Hayes of Bloomingdale.

She was predeceased by her parents; a brother, Joseph Hough; and a sister, Beulah Kenny.

There will be no calling hours. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, Feb. 4, at St. Bernard's Church in Saranac Lake, with Rev. Bill Muench officiating. Burial will take place in May at St. Paul's Cemetery in the Town of Franklin.
