---- — PLATTSBURGH — Malcolm A. Martineau, 71, of Military Turnpike, Plattsburgh, N.Y., died on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

He was born in Plattsburgh on Oct. 24, 1941, the son of Willard and Hazel (Collins) Martino.

Malcolm worked for the Labor Local #186 and Tracey Trombley Construction. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, fishing and hunting. In his younger years, he raced at Airborne Speedway.

Malcolm was predeceased by his parents; by his siblings, Richard "Benny" Wilfred, Carlton and Randall Martineau, Geraldine "Flossy" Fountain, Violet Caska, Viola Burch, Marion Massula and Muriel Martineau.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Phillis Martineau; two children, Shane Martineau and Sara Murdock and her husband Ryan; two grandchildren, Rayne and Adrian Murdock, his special friends, Robert and Patricia Shaea; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him.

Calling hours will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Treadwells Mills Cemetery.
