---- — WEST CHAZY — Mr. Francis Chick Langlois, 83, of the Fiske Road, West Chazy passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at the CVPH Medical Center with family by his side. He was born in Chazy, N.Y., on March 11, 1930 the son of Emile and Aurore (Fortin) Langlois.

Chick was a veteran of Korea serving in the U.S. Army. He was employed as a dairy farmer until 1998. Chick was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed making cedar oil and maple syrup. Chick was predeceased by his parents; his siblings; Aurelle, Simone, Aurella, Mary, Leonelle and Blanche.

He is survived by his daughter, Linda Langlois of Plattsburgh; his siblings, Jeannette of Plattsburgh, Loretta of Chicago, Ill.; two granddaughters, Nicole Pankhurst and Jennifer Pankhurst both of Chazy; a special nephew, Jim Langlois whom Chick thought of as a son; and Jim's sons, Eric and Travis who were like grandson's to Chick, all of West Chazy, several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 5, at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, N.Y., 12901. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 6, at the Brown Funeral Home. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Chazy.
