SANFORD, N.C. — Linda Rose Chapman was called Home on April 22, 2013. She was born Oct. 31, 1946 the daughter of Clifford J. Seaman and Lenora (LaPelle) Seaman of Long Lake N.Y. She was a graduate of Long Lake Central School, Roberts Wesleyan College and St. Rose College. She married Ralph E. Chapman on June 15, 1968.
Surviving are her husband, Ralph E. Chapman; and three children, Amy O'Kay and her husband Josh of Rome, N.Y., Angela Sanger and her husband Shawn of Sanford, N.C., and Scott Chapman and his wife Kristi of Sanford, N.C. She is also survived by her mother, Lenora Seaman; three brothers, Clifton of Churchville, N.Y., Clark and Craig of Long Lake, N.Y.; two sisters, Roberta (Seaman) Chapman of New Hartford, N.Y., and Dorothy (Seaman) Duckett of Palmyra, N.Y. She also leaves behind her five grandchildren, Yvette O'Kay, Elizabeth Sanger, Andrew Sanger, Alexa Chapman, Corban Chapman, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a substitute school teacher in the Plattsburgh/Beekmantown school system. She served in various ministries at the Turnpike Wesleyan Church where her husband served as pastor for 35 years. Serving children in all areas of her life was her passion and brought her great joy.
There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. on May 4, at the Turnpike Wesleyan Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Turnpike Wesleyan Church.
