PLATTSBURGH — Mr. Rudolph C. Archambault, 82, of Plattsburgh, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, under the care of Hospice of the North Country with his family by his side. He was born May 2, 1931, the son of the late Francis and Rosemary (Conway) Archambault.
He served in the United States Marine Corp. during the Korean Conflict. Rudolph graduated from Plattsburgh State with a master's degree and taught for Ausable Valley School District for 28 years. Rudolph had a love for the New York Giants.
Rudolph is predeceased by his parents, a sister, Wanda Smith; a brother-in-law, Donald Smith; and niece, Jeri Smith. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Diana (Jenks); his daughters, Debra Mussen and her husband Michael of Keeseville, a daughter, Sherry McCabe and her husband Michael of Watertown; a son, James and his partner Alan Jackson of Port Kent; his stepsons, Lance Rebideau and his wife Sue of West Chazy, and Keith Rebideau and his wife Mary Ann of Plattsburgh; grandsons, Tristan Archambault and John Mussen, stepgrandchildren; Rachel Alexis Rebideau, Ashley Heipel and her husband Brendon, several nieces and nephews; and his favorite feline friend, Lulu.
In accordance with Rudolph's wishes, there will be no public calling hours or services.
