---- — TICONDEROGA — Marion L. Bailey, 86, of Ticonderoga, died on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at the Pines of Glens Falls, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Born in Hague, N.Y., April 21, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Walter S. and Calista (Leach) Streeter.
Marion was a graduate of Hague Central School. In her early years, she was employed by Sears, Roebuck & Co. of Albany. Through the years, Marion has lived in Corinth, the Capital District and Ticonderoga.
She was a lifetime member of the Hague Wesleyan Church, now known as the Lakeside Regional Church.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Irving G. Bailey on Dec. 13, 2009. She was also pre-deceased by her daughter, Joan Mein; five brothers, Walter Streeter, Gordon Streeter, Robert Streeter, Elmer E. Streeter and Joseph Streeter; and two sisters, Ruth S. Robbins and Marjorie Eberly.
Survivors include her son, David H. Bailey, who resides with John and Nancy Ockrin of Crown Point; four sisters, Eleanor Finkle of Diamond Point, Helen (Bob) Fairlee of Schenectady, Calista Murray and Lillian (Mike) Murray, both of Diamond Point; her son-in-law, William (Betty) Mein Jr. of Latham; three grandchildren, Tamara Mein (Brian French) of Glens Falls, N.Y., Todd (Michelle) Mein of Clio, Mich., and Edward (Cherilyn) Mein of Port Saint Lucie, Fla.; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call from noon to 1:30 p.m., Saturday, April 27, at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, 11 Algonkin St., Ticonderoga.
Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at the family plot of the May Memorial Cemetery of Hague. A Memorial Service will follow at 3 p.m. at the Hague Wesleyan Church of Hague. The Rev. Skip Trembley, Pastor, will officiate.
