---- — TUPPER LAKE — On Friday, April 19, 2013, the Lord unexpectedly called home his special angel.
Beverly P. Brownell, 74, was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., March 17, 1939, the daughter of Oscar and Evelyn (Herling) Loso.
She graduated from Plattsburgh State with a bachelor's degree in home economics in 1959 and later earned a master's degree in special education.
Beverly was employed by the State of New York at Sunmount Developmental Center for 26 years, working first as a special education teacher, then in administration.
Beverly enjoyed being involved in community activities and was a member of many clubs and organizations. She held several offices in Business and Professional Women (BPW) and the Chamber of Commerce, participated in numerous Chamber of Commerce events promoting tourism and economic growth for the village, and volunteered at the Wild Center. Over the years, Beverly developed a large network of friends, who will miss her warm, welcoming personality, infectious laughter, and lively sense of humor. She hosted countless koffee klatches where she and her friends shared stories and news of the day, comforting each other in trying times she shared her own life experiences, which enriched the lives of those around her.
Beverly was predeceased by the love of her life, Dr. Hans Corneille, with whom she shared a devoted and loving relationship for many years, an example of true love and commitment.
