WINTER HAVEN, FL. - Betty (Mary) Wetterhahn, 92, of Winter Haven, Fla., died peacefully Saturday in Camillus at the home of her daughter, Charlotte. Betty was born in Clayton, N.Y. on March 7, 1921, to the late Robert and Helen (Mather) Thibault. She graduated from Watertown business school and did office work until her first daughter was born. She married Gustave Wetterhahn on Sept. 12, 1942 and moved to Rouses Point, NY.
Betty was an active member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She was a volunteer at the church. Betty was a contract bridge life master. She and her husband Gus skied and were active teachers of the students who were in their daughter's high school ski club. She was a golfer at North Country Golf Course. Betty was an avid bowler bringing home the trophies every year. She retired with Gus to Winter Haven, Fla. She and Gus traveled to many countries to explore the world we live in.
Betty was predeceased by her daughter Karen Wetterhahn Webb. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Gustave Wetterhahn; a daughter, Charlotte Archabald; sons-in law, Marvin Archabald and Leon Webb; grandchildren, Lisa Greenan, Karen Archabald, Leon A Webb and Charlotte Webb, seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Clayton, N.Y. at a later date. Bagozzi Twins Funeral Home has care of arrangements.
