---- — KEESEVILLE — Lemuel E. "Bucky" Baker, 56, of Sandy Pines, Keeseville, died Sunday, June 9, 2013, at his home. He was born in Fort Gordon, Ga., August 26, 1956, the son of Carleton Sr. and Mary (Duprey) Baker. Bucky graduated from AuSable Valley Central School in 1976. He worked at the Champlain Valley Apple Storage from June of 1976, until March of 2010.

He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and watching football, but his true love in life was spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years, Aleta Marie (Madden) Baker, whom he married July 10, 1976, at St. James Episcopal Church in AuSable Forks; three children, Heath Baker and wife Laurie, Lance Baker and wife Michelle, and Amanda Mitchell and husband Jonah; grandchildren, Dustyn, Nash, Troy, and Lillian Baker, and Draven, Marylin, and Vincent Mitchell; siblings, Bobby Baker and wife Lourie, Carl Baker, Dawn Vassar and husband Richard Beatle, Robin Damiani and husband Nick, Melody B Baker, and Autumn Baker; sister-in-law, Arlene Gumlaw; brother-in-law, Keith Madden and his wife Joan; many nieces and nephews; and his loving canine, Melky.

He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Dana Baker; and niece, Carie Vassar.

There will be no public calling hours. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Keeseville. A gathering will follow the service at the Keeseville VFW Post 1505.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the High Peaks Hospice, St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, North Country SPCA, or the Diabetes Foundation.
