PLATTSBURGH — Mr. Raymond Leonard Favreau, 93, of Flynn Avenue in Plattsburgh and formerly of Mooers, passed away Wednesday, April 02, 2014, at the Clinton County Nursing Home with family by his side.
He was born in Mooers on July 13, 1920, the son of the late Elzeor and Arminia (Barcomb) Favreau.
Raymond attended school in a one room school house on the North Star Road in Mooers where he supplied the wood for the stove and the water. He was a farmer for all of his life and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by a daughter and son in-law, Noella and Dale Jones of Leesburg, Fla.; two sons and a daughter in-law, Alfred and Penny Favreau of Champlain, Marcel Favreau and his fianc^e Sue Peary of Rouses Point; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
His wife of 62 years, Albina (LaBombard) Favreau, and five sisters; Beatrice, Leona, Evelyn, Clerina and Rita passed away earlier.
Calling hours will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 28, at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Mooers.
