Norma G. Duquette

CADYVILLE — Norma G. Duquette, 85, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, May 15. She was born in Saranac, October 19, 1927, the daughter of Ransom and Jennie (Lamkins) Bull. She grew up on her family's farm on the Hardscrabble Road with her brothers, Forrest, Myron, and Alvin.

After graduating from Saranac High School, she studied at the Plattsburgh Business School and worked as a secretary for several years at Wolfe's Department Store on Bridge Street, Plattsburgh. In the 1950s, she and her husband of 62 years, Clifford, established a farm on Hardscrabble Road. It was here that, together with their three children, they built a lasting legacy now carried on by their two sons.

Norma is survived by her daughter, Janice Casey of Orange, Conn.; two sons, William "Billy" Duquette and Sissy Triller of Cadyville, and Gary Duquette and his wife Sylvia of Cadyville; a sister-in-law, Jane Bull of Saranac; two brothers-in-law, Clarence Duquette of Cadyville, and Burton Duquette and his wife Marjorie of Cadyville; and sister-in-law, Theresa Andre and her husband James of Cadyville; her grandchildren, Joseph Casey and his wife Jennifer of Walpole, Mass., Neil Duquette and his wife Sarah of Cadyville, Jenny Casey of Orange, Conn., John Triller and his wife Rhonda of Queensbury, N.Y., and Trisha Fiore and her husband Marc of Schenectady, N.Y.; great-grandchildren, Connor and Layla Casey, Rowan, Brody and Avery Triller, and Ariah and Gabby Fiore; and several nieces and nephews. Norma was predeceased by her husband, parents and siblings.

Calling hours and funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Donations in her memory may be made to the Cadyville Fire Department.
