ALBANY — Alice A. Vincent, 90, died on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at St. Peter's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Albany.
Alice was born on July 31, 1922, in Plattsburgh, N.Y. and was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Margaret E. (Herrick) Vincent. She worked for the NYS Department of Transportation as a secretary until her retirement. She was a member of the NYS Civil Service Employees Association Chapter 999 and AARP Chapter 980. She was an avid reader and enjoyed bowling.
Alice is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Clarence, Roswell, Ralph and Robert Vincent; her sisters, Doris, Evelyn and Edith Vincent, Thelma Del Belso and Helen Polinsky and two nieces.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff on the second floor of SPNRC for the kindness and care that Alice received.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Monday at Blessed Sacrament Church in Albany. Calling hours will be held from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie.
A graveside committal service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Mooers, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Marians of the Immaculate Conception, the Association of Marian Helpers, Eden Hill, Stockbridge, Mass. 01263 or to a charity of ones choice in memory of Alice A. Vincent.
