PLATTSBURGH — Corinne N. Arnold, 86, formerly of Military Turnpike Extension, Peru, died Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Clinton County Nursing Home. She was born in Cambridge, Vt., on June 3, 1926 the daughter of Harley and Laura (Martin) Bennett.
Corinne married Norman Arnold on March 14, 1946, at the United Methodist Church in Plattsburgh, by Rev. Frederick J. Ball. She attended the Independent Church in Keeseville. Corinne loved oil painting and cooking.
Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Philip and Mary Arnold of Grand Junction, MI, Calvin Arnold of Peru, N.Y., Richard and Donna Arnold of Peru and Timothy and Jeanne Arnold of Peru; one daughter, Martha "Marti" Burdo and her husband, Larry Cabana of Peru; a daughter-in-law, Darnell Arnold of Choudrant, LA; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one son, Alan Arnold; one son-in-law, David Burdo; and two sisters, Shirley Bennett and Arlene Paquett.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Monday at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home, 69 Court Street, Plattsburgh. A funeral service will be held that evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. A private burial service will be in God's Acre Cemetery in Peru.
