---- — MORRISONVILLE — Roger R. Garrow Jr., 71, of Soper Street, died Saturday, May 4, 2013, at his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice of the North Country. He was born in Plattsburgh, Nov. 7, 1941, the son of Roger R. Sr. and Carolyn (Fifield) Garrow.
Roger was a security guard on the Plattsburgh Air Force Base for many years, and was also employed at other local businesses throughout the years.
He enjoyed taking nature walks, hunting, and watching shows related to history and military, but his true love was spending time with family; and babies, Smidge, Smudge, and Abbie.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Garrow of Morrisonville; four daughters, Jennifer Garrow of California, Kari and Rick Rasco of Morrisonville, Shari Griffith of Plattsburgh, and Tami and Ed Stone of Jamesville; one son, James Sorrell of Peru; sister, Starr Goble of Plattsburgh; brother, Wayne Garrow of Herkimer; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Steven Garrow; sister, Sandra Gonyo; and brother-in-law, Frank Goble.
At Roger's request, there will be no public calling hours or services.
