---- — KEESEVILLE — Violet L. Flora, 74, of Pleasant Street, Keeseville, and formerly of Willsboro, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Keene, July 11, 1938, the daughter of Edgar and Lillian (Betters) Jaquish.

Violet enjoyed bowling, camping, shuffleboard, and going out dancing. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her companion, Elmer Mattila; her children, Brian Flora and his wife Chris of Peru, Steven Flora and his wife, Candi of Willsboro, and Dale Flora and his companion, Alyssa Penell of Plattsburgh; brothers, Junior, James, Harvey, Oliver, Stanley, John, and Richard Jaquish; sisters, Shirley, Patricia, Katherine, Lorraine, Yvonne, and Sharon; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren (and three on the way); and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; former husband, Halsey Flora; infant son, Mark Flora; and three brothers, Millard, Spencer, Ralza.

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 P.M. Thursday, May 2, at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville. A funeral service will follow at 7 P.M. at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Edie Poland officiating. Committal prayers and burial will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, May 4, in the Memorial Cemetery in Willsboro.
