— PLATTSBURGH - Ruth A. Dixon, 71, of Route 22, passed away Monday, August 26, 2013, at CVPH Medical Center, with her family by her side. She was born May 9, 1942, in Dannemora, the daughter of Clarence and Hazel (Collins) Rabideau.

Ruth was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 1466 and served as president of Beekmantown Get- Together Club.

She enjoyed playing bingo and playing with her granddaughter, Addison.

She was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Kenneth and Gerald Rabideau; and two sisters, Verna Ayotte and Esther Devins.

Ruth is survived by two daughters, Debra LaDieu and her husband Francis LaDieu of Plattsburgh, and Donna Dixon-Vosh and her wife Allison Dixon-Vosh of Plattsburgh; her companion, Robert Arquette of Beekmantown; two brothers, Oswald Snider of Plattsburgh, and Harold Rabideau and his wife Jeannie Rabideau of Crossville, Tenn.; a granddaughter, Addison Dixon-Vosh; several nieces and nephews; and her canine companion, Jed.

Calling hours will be from 4 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 29, at Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, NY. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 30, at Ingraham Cemetery.

Friends wishing may make donations to FitzPatrick Cancer Center or Hospice of the North Country.
