---- — MOOERS — Gladys M. (LaMere) Boulerice, 85, of the Gilbert Road, Mooers, died Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, at her home with her loving daughters and granddaughter by her side.

Gladys was born in Altona, August 13, 1928, the daughter of Benjamin and Ruth Coryer LaMere. She attended school in Ellenburg. She was married to Francis X. Boulerice for 48 years until his death in 1993.

She worked a number of years as a seamstress at Pampalon Vestments in Champlain, as well as a short time at the local McDonald's, where she made many lasting friendships. Gladys was a dedicated daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother, who spent her life taking care of her family. She was an excellent cook, and also enjoyed playing many musical instruments. She knitted and crocheted many afghans for family and friends, enjoyed reading, doing word searches, and eating Hershey chocolate bars in the middle of the night.

Survivors include three daughters, Judy Boulerice, and Terry Boulerice both of Mooers, Allyson and her husband, Robert Donahoe of Newton, Mass.; one granddaughter, Kristina Meseck and her companion, Larry Rock; three great-grandchildren, Matthew Timmons and fiancee Sarah Jane Page, Peter Timmons Jr., and ElizabethAnne Timmons; honorary granddaughter, Autumn Rock; half sister, Margaret King; sister-in-law, Jeannette Rowe; two brothers-in-law, Alfred Boulerice, and Weldon Dragoon and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; half sister, Yvonne Yelle; and three sisters, Bertha Bushey, Vivian Ashline, and Verda Boulerice.

At her request, there will be no public calling hours. A celebration of Gladys' life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at her home at 236 Gilbert Road, Mooers. Interment will be in the Whispering Maples Memorial Mausoleum in Ellenburg Depot.

In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations be made to Hospice of the North Country, the FitzPatrick Cancer Center, or the Champlain EMS.

Gladys was loved and will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.
