Frederick L. "Fred" Barcomb

---- — ROUSES POINT — Frederick L. "Fred" Barcomb, 85, of Rouses Point, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, July 5, 2013 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

He was born in Rouses Point, N.Y., Jan. 31, 1928, son of the late Louis and Cecilia (Myers) Barcomb.

Fred was a life resident of the area and attended local schools. Following High School, he enlisted with the US Army during the WWII era. He worked in maintenance for many years at Wyeth Pharmaceudicals in Rouses Point, retiring in 1990.

Fred was a member of the American Legion Post #912 in Rouses Point and was a parishioner of St. Patrick's Church. He enjoyed Bingo, playing cards and was an avid NY Yankee's fan. Fred enjoyed his many friends and neighbors he leaves behind at the Bechard Senior Housing in Rouses Point.

Survivors include many nieces, nephews and close friends, especially his dear friend, Peggy.

In addition to his parents, Fred was predeceased by his brothers, Louis and Joseph Barcomb; and his sisters, Dorothy Bushey and Margaret Pratt.

Calling hour will be held from 11 am to 12 pm on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at M.B. Clark Funeral Home, 148 Lake Street, Rouses Point, NY. A prayer service will follow at 12 pm at the funeral home.

Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Rouses Point.
