WILMINGTON, NY — JoAnn Belcoure, 58, of Stewart Mountain Way, passed away on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at the CVPH Medical Center after a long and hard fought battle against breast cancer.
She was born in Detroit, Mich., on June 21, 1955, the daughter of James and Ann (Varga) Belcoure. She married Brian Delaronde on Dec. 21, 2006 in Keene, N.H.
JoAnn worked in the Plattsburgh School District and at CV-TEC teaching Adult Education for many years. She then moved to Florida where she spent the last ten years working at Port St. Lucie High School as a Chemistry Teacher. JoAnn enjoyed spending time outdoors and being in the woods at their cabin. She loved gardening, lopping small trees and spending time with her loved ones.
Survivors include her husband, Brian Delaronde of Wilmington, N.Y.; her daughter, Jazmin Belcoure and her husband, Edward Sheldon of Keene, N.H.; and her adopted daughter, Amanda Letts of Seattle, Wash.; two brothers, Bill Belcoure and his wife Jan of Grosse Pointe, Mich. and Bruce Belcoure and his wife Lisa of Las Vegas, Nev,; a granddaughter she was anxiously awaiting the arrival of in Nov., Andrea Sheldon; and one niece, Jessica Belcoure.
Calling hours and funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
